EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- ESSENTIAL:
– Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education (B.Ed./M.Ed. – Special Education) from a recognized institution
– RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration is mandatory
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in school-based special education support
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SPECIAL EDUCATOR
- Assess students with learning and developmental challenges and identify individual needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s requirements
- Adapt and modify teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate inclusive education strategies
- Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Conduct awareness and sensitization sessions for staff on inclusive education practices
- Engage regularly with parents to discuss student development and progress
- Coordinate with counsellors, therapists, and other stakeholders as needed
- Candidate should be flexible to travel across campuses within the same city
